Warranty Policy

At Low Slow Mod Co., we stand behind the quality of our products. Every product is designed and manufactured with care, and we want you to have confidence in your purchase.

This Warranty Policy explains what is covered by our manufacturer's warranty, how to make a claim, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Manufacturer's Warranty

Unless otherwise stated on the product listing, Low Slow Mod Co. products are covered by a 12-month manufacturer's warranty from the original date of purchase.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use.

What Is Covered

Our manufacturer's warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects.
  • Faults in materials.
  • Faults in workmanship.
  • Components supplied by Low Slow Mod Co. that fail under normal intended use.
  • Products that do not perform as intended due to a manufacturing defect.

If a valid warranty claim is approved, we will determine the most appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • Repairing the product.
  • Replacing the product.
  • Replacing the defective component.
  • Providing a refund where appropriate.

The remedy provided will depend on the nature of the fault and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

What Is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect product performance.
  • Scratches, scuffs or fading from normal use.
  • Minor cosmetic characteristics inherent to the 3D printing process, including layer lines or slight surface texture.
  • Incorrect installation.
  • Improper use or misuse.
  • Damage caused by accidents, impacts or abuse.
  • Damage resulting from drilling, machining, cutting, painting or modifying the product.
  • Damage caused by exposure to chemicals or cleaning products not intended for use with the product.
  • Damage caused by incorrect storage.
  • Products used outside their intended application.

Electrical Products

Electrical products are covered against manufacturing defects only.

Warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Incorrect wiring.
  • Reverse polarity.
  • Incorrect voltage.
  • Over-current conditions.
  • Water ingress where the product is not designed to be waterproof.
  • Physical damage.
  • Modification or unauthorised repair.

Customers are responsible for ensuring electrical products are installed correctly before operation.

Installation

Unless otherwise stated, products are intended to be installed by persons with suitable mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.

Damage caused during installation is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Customers are responsible for ensuring products are installed safely and correctly.

3D Printed Products

Many Low Slow Mod Co. products are manufactured using advanced additive manufacturing (3D printing).

Minor layer lines, witness marks, surface texture variations and other cosmetic characteristics are an inherent part of the manufacturing process.

These characteristics are normal and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Third-Party Products & Equipment

Low Slow Mod Co. manufactures aftermarket accessories designed to be compatible with selected third-party products.

Our manufacturer's warranty applies only to products manufactured and supplied by Low Slow Mod Co.

This warranty does not extend to any third-party smoker, grill, controller, thermometer, fan, cable, accessory or other equipment used in conjunction with our products.

Customers should refer to the original manufacturer for warranty support relating to third-party products.

References to third-party brands, model names and trademarks are used solely to describe compatibility. Low Slow Mod Co. is an independent manufacturer of aftermarket accessories and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by those manufacturers unless expressly stated.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has developed a manufacturing fault, please contact us before returning the product.

To help us assess your claim quickly, please provide:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Clear photographs of the product.
  • A short video where appropriate.
  • Details of the smoker or equipment the product is installed on.

Many issues can be resolved without returning the product.

Warranty Assessment

Every warranty claim is individually assessed.

We may request additional information or ask you to perform simple troubleshooting steps before approving a warranty claim.

Where necessary, we may request that the product be returned for inspection.

Returned products will be examined to determine whether the reported issue is the result of:

  • A manufacturing defect.
  • Incorrect installation.
  • Misuse.
  • Modification.
  • Accidental damage.
  • Normal wear and tear.

If inspection confirms the issue is not covered under warranty, the claim may be declined.

Where practical, we will explain our findings and discuss available repair or replacement options.

Return Shipping

If a warranty claim is approved, Low Slow Mod Co. will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide instructions for returning the product.

If a returned product is found not to have a manufacturing defect, return shipping costs may be the responsibility of the customer.

Product Improvements

Low Slow Mod Co. continually improves its products through ongoing development and testing.

Products supplied as warranty replacements may incorporate updated designs, revised materials or improved manufacturing methods.

The availability of newer product versions does not entitle previous purchasers to an upgrade or replacement unless required to resolve an approved warranty claim.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This manufacturer's warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
